What is a Profhilo injection® ?

Profhilo injections® are particularly suitable for people wishing to act on the sagging skin and wrinkles. It is recommended for people who want to restore hydration to their skin and obtain a anti-aging effect thanks to a non-surgical aesthetic treatment.

Profhilo injections®, like other hyaluronic acid injections, are a safe cosmetic procedure and generally well tolerated by a majority of patients.

However, although non-invasive, this treatment is not recommended in the following cases:

  • People with autoimmune diseases, due to the risk of inflammation
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women

Profhilo injection technique®

The Profhilo® is injected by very fine needles at 5 strategic injection points, thus creating papules which will gradually diffuse the product into the tissues of the deep dermis.

The dosage of the product is adjusted according to the area treated and the type of problem encountered.

Procedure for a Profhilo injection session®

Once the 24-hour reflection period has passed, the doctor will give you another appointment to begin your treatment.

During your session, the doctor begins with nettoyer the injection site using an antiseptic solution.

The Profhilo® is a product based on hyaluronic acid, which takes the form of a liquid gel and which is used by injection into the skin to reshape it or smooth wrinkles. It naturally stimulates collagen production and provides long-lasting hydration. It is resorbed in the body after a few months.

The side effects of a hyaluronic acid injection are very low and not dangerous in most cases. The most common are slight bruising, swelling or small bleeding which disappears within a few days. If the injection is not given in the right place, there may be more serious but extremely rare risks, such as skin necrosis or vascular embolism. However, this risk can be avoided by using a round-tipped cannula, and can be resolved immediately by the doctor, by injecting an enzyme that will destroy the hyaluronic acid.
