REJURAN® is an injectable aesthetic medicine treatment originating from South Korea, designed to improve skin quality gradually and naturally. It is based on the use of polynucleotides, highly purified DNA fragments, derived from wild salmon.

Unlike volumizing hyaluronic acid injections, REJURAN® does not aim to alter facial volume. Its objective is different: to improve the skin's deep structure, support its natural regenerative capacity, enhance hydration, and stimulate collagen production.

This treatment is for patients who wish to regain smoother, firmer, brighter and visibly revitalized skin, without changing their features.

What is a Rejuran injection?

REJURAN® is a regenerative injectable based on polynucleotides, also known as PNs. These molecules are naturally biocompatible DNA fragments, used to support skin repair and progressively improve skin quality.

Once injected into the dermis, polynucleotides act as a repair signal. They create an environment conducive to tissue regeneration, promote deep skin hydration, and stimulate the activity of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for the production of collagen and elastin.

The expected result is skin that is progressively more supple, denser, more even and more radiant.

Who should receive a rejuran injection?

REJURAN® is for patients who want to improve their skin quality without altering facial volume. It is particularly suitable for fragile, dehydrated, dull, thin skin, or skin showing the first signs of aging.

Treatment may be indicated in cases of:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Thin or dehydrated skin
  • Dull or tired complexion

How is a rejuran injection administered?

Before the session

A medical consultation is essential before any treatment. The practitioner assesses the condition of your skin and your medical history, and determines the indications suited to your needs (wrinkles, sagging, dark circles, scars, etc.). A personalized treatment plan is then established, specifying the number of sessions potentially required.

During the session

The treatment is based on the use of REJURAN®, an innovative biostimulator developed by Vivacy. This injectable gel is composed of long-chain polynucleotides, which create an optimal environment to stimulate collagen production, promote skin hydration and neutralize free radicals.

REJURAN® comes in the form of a soft gel, injected directly into the medium to deep dermisIt can be administered in different ways depending on the area being treated:

  • in micro-droplets,
  • linear,
    with a very fine needle or an cannula.

For added comfort, a numbing cream can be applied before injection.

After the session

Redness, slight swelling or small bruises may appear in the following hours, but they disappear quickly.
You can resume your activities as soon as you leave the office, taking a few precautions for 24 to 48 hours:

  • Avoid makeup,
  • Avoid sun exposure,
  • Avoid intense sporting activities or heat sources (sauna, hammam).

For optimal results, it is recommended to carry out:

As a preventative treatment, for younger skin:

  •  A treatment of 3 sessions every 3 weeks
  •  Interview sessions 

Repairing treatment, a more intense treatment for mature skin:

  •  A treatment of 4 sessions every 1 to 2 weeks

For both options, the technique used is intradermal injection using the microdroplet technique or the linear retrograde technique.

The treatment involves injecting Rejuran, an injectable regenerative treatment formulated with highly purified polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA. These polynucleotides are known for their ability to improve skin quality by promoting repair, deep hydration, and progressive regeneration.

Rejuran is particularly indicated for areas where the skin is thin, fragile or marked by skin aging: eye contour, fine lines, irregular texture, loss of radiance, enlarged pores, acne scars or even early sagging of the face, neck or décolleté.

Polynucleotides are injected into the superficial to mid-dermis using very fine micro-needles, according to a micro-injection technique involving either a layering or micro-droplet method. Depending on the area being treated and the indication, the physician can adjust the depth, spacing, and quantity injected to achieve homogeneous and natural skin stimulation.

Unlike hyaluronic acid, Rejuran is not intended to add volume or alter facial features. Rather, it acts as a fundamental treatment for skin quality: it helps improve hydration, soothe inflammation, support tissue repair, and stimulate fibroblast activity, thus promoting the production of collagen and elastin.

The recommended protocol generally consists of three sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every six to twelve months, depending on skin quality, age, and the patient's goals. Results appear gradually, with skin that is more supple, radiant, smoother, and more resilient, while maintaining a very natural appearance.

Which areas can be treated with a rejuran injection?

Rejuran treatment is suitable for a wide variety of areas and needs, both on the young skin that on mature skin.

  •  Entire face, including forehead and cheekbones
  •  Neck, décolleté and hands: Thanks to its biostimulant and restorative properties.

This treatment acts in a targeted manner, while remaining very natural, without creating artificial volume.

What results can be expected from a rejuran injection?

The results of polynucleotide injections are progressive, natural and long-lasting. From the first sessions, we observe:

Indications and contraindications for rejuran injections

Polynucleotide treatment is indicated for:

  • Hydrate and revitalize young or dehydrated skin
  • Reduce fine lines and improve skin texture (forehead, eye area, neck, hands)
  • Treat scars, especially acne scars
  • Restore firmness, suppleness and radiance to weakened areas (face, décolleté, wrists)
  • Reduce dark circles, smooth lower eyelids and redensify the look
  • Stimulate hair regrowth in cases of moderate hair loss, on the scalp and eyebrows

As with any aesthetic procedure, certain situations exclude the use of polynucleotides:

  • Active local infectious or inflammatory lesions
  • Known allergy to one of the components of the injected product
  • Alopecia at too advanced a stage (treatment would then be ineffective)
  • Bleeding disorders or taking blood thinners
  • Chronic, progressive or severe skin disorders
  • Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid (in case of combination with non-crosslinked acid)
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding (as a precautionary measure)

New generation injectable care

Rejuran is indicated for improving overall skin quality: fine lines, thin skin, loss of elasticity, dull complexion, enlarged pores, uneven texture, acne scars, or skin fragility. It is particularly beneficial for delicate areas such as the eye contour.

The face (especially the eye area), neck, décolleté, hands, scalp and eyebrows.

The product is injected as a soft gel into the mid to deep dermis using micro-needles or cannulas, in micro-droplets or lines. The session lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
