What is a Sculptra injection® ?

Sculptra injection technique®
The Sculptra injection® for the face uses poly-L-lactic acid. This active ingredient is absorbed by the body and reactivates the production of collagen. Course of a Sculptra injection session®
Before the session, you can if you wish to apply an anesthetic cream, however this is not obligatory as an anesthetic is added to the product. Micro-cannulas: needles with a round tip, which are not very painful, are used for the injection.
As before any injection, it is advisable to avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anti-platelet aggregants.
After disinfection, the product is injected into the area(s) to be treated using a micro-cannula.

How Sculptra works® ?
The Sculptra injection® strengthens the structure of your skin. Through several sessions, the skin's collagen is restored. The face and parts of the body that you wish to treat regain their support and volume.
When to perform a Sculptra injection® ?
Since 1999, the injection of Sculptra® improves the effects of skin aging. This non-invasive anti-aging treatment is recommended for people who wish to rejuvenate their face, restore volume, fade wrinkles, and improve skin quality in a perfectly natural and lasting way.
What happens after a Sculptra injection® ?
Resumption of activities is immediate and you can put on makeup. It is possible to observe redness, swelling, hematoma, or sensitivity at one of the injection sites but these reactions disappear within a few days.
You should avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anti-platelet agents for the next few days.
It is important to massage the treated area for 5 days following the injection 5 times a day for 5 minutes.
At the end of the session, we can observe an immediate volume gain but which is linked to the volume injected. This effect fades over the following days and the result begins to appear 2 to 3 weeks later, with an overall improvement in the skin in terms of wrinkles, firmness and elasticity, and restoration of volume.
