What is facial HIFU?

Le HIFU laser is an aesthetic medicine technique which aims to tighten the skin naturally, without resorting to surgery.

This non-invasive medical technique uses focused ultrasound or HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound), which allow targeted areas in the dermis to be treated safely by producing a thermal effect. The thermal effect thus produced makes it possible to obtain fixation points by coagulating the tissues which retract with significant and deep induction and collagen synthesis.

The HIFU laser offers a mini-medical facelift in one session, without social eviction.

It is important to note that although HIFU laser can provide satisfactory results for some patients, there are other, more effective treatment options available to achieve long-lasting results. There radio frequency or radiofrequency microneedling are non-invasive aesthetic treatment options that provide longer-lasting results for skin tightening.

These techniques use electromagnetic waves to produce controlled heat in the deeper layers of the skin, thereby stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture and firmness. Indications and contraindications to facial HIFU

Although facial HIFU treatment is generally safe and effective, there are some contraindications to consider before considering this type of treatment. HIFU should not be used in patients with active skin infections or inflammation. On the other hand, HIFUs are not recommended for patients who have already undergone cosmetic procedures, such as facelifts or botox injections, because they can damage the surgical site.

Facial HIFUs should be used with caution in patients with pacemakers or other medical implants, as ultrasound waves may interact with these devices.

Finally, HIFU facial treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The progress of a facial HIFU session in Paris

Before considering a HIFU laser treatment, you will need to carry out an initial consultation with a doctor from our clinic, in order to define your objectives and find the treatment best suited to your problem.

Once the 24-hour reflection period has passed, the doctor will give you another appointment to begin your treatment.

The doctor will perform a first series of shots at the determined depth using a handpiece emitting focused ultrasound and taking care to avoid the “forbidden zones” defined beforehand. This step is not strictly speaking painful but it can be unpleasant.

You may feel tingling as well as a certain skin tension which appears gradually as the shots are fired, a sign that the procedure is effective.

La session duration varies from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the cases and the areas to be treated.

At the end of the session, the treated areas are slightly sensitive, a feeling of tension may be felt and may persist for a few hours.

It is advisable to avoid heat baths (sauna, hammam) and sun exposure for 24 hours after treatment.

There is no social exclusion, no need to put on makeup after the session.
