Mela Peel Paris

Dermato Aesthetic Clinic – Paris, 16rd

Mela Peel is a medium peel that has been specially designed to treat pigment spots (lentigo, melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation) particularly present in mixed-race and black skin.

What is the Mela Peel?

This peel acts specifically on pigment spots, melasma or other post-inflammatory pigmentations, for example acne.

After cleansing your skin, the practitioner applies the Mela Peel to the entire face, focusing on hyper-pigmented areas. It is a non-visible mask that you will need to remove 8 hours after application, by rinsing it thoroughly with water. The spots will lighten over time and your complexion will become more even and radiant.

Areas treated by Mela Peel

Pigment spots appear particularly on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. This treatment therefore allows them to be erased. Depending on the area and skin phototype, 2 sessions on average will be necessary.

Mela Peel Results

Mela Peel regulates the activity of melanocytes. In fact, the active ingredients inhibit the production of melanin by these cells, which helps reduce spots and even out the color of the skin.

One session may be sufficient, however two sessions may sometimes be necessary. In this case we will space them out by one month – depending on the result obtained. The treatment can be repeated after one year – if necessary.

Indications and contraindications of Mela Peel

Composed of salicylic acid, lactic acid, phytic acid, kojic acid, arbutin and retinol, Mela Peel technology can be used for all phototypes and in particular IV to VI. A dermatologist recommends Mela Peel peels to erase pigment spots:

  • Melasma or mask of pregnancy: these spots appear on the forehead, around the eyes, on the cheeks and above the lip. Melasma generally affects women after pregnancy, but can occur due to stress, emotional shock or depending on the oral contraception used.
  • Hyperpigmentation due to inflammation: when the epidermis undergoes inflammation, the production of melanin is stimulated. A stain therefore appears at this precise location. Ingrown hairs, acne, wounds, all these marks present on your skin will be able to disappear
  • Sun spots or lentigos: spots linked to natural aging of the skin and sun exposure

Mela Peel Technique

By inhibiting the production of melanin, the Mela Peel aims to reduce or eliminate pigment spots. Its keratolytic action allows you to obtain a more even complexion.

The progress of the Mela Peel session in Paris

Peeling is a medical procedure and a prior consultation must be made with your dermatologist, who will offer you the most appropriate peel according to your desires and expected results.

Skin preparation is necessary: two weeks before the session, you must apply a cream to limit melanin production. This precaution is necessary to avoid pigment rebounds.
