Hair loss in Paris

Dermato Aesthetic Clinic – Paris, 16rd

Hair loss, or alopecia, can affect both women and men at any age. Hair ages naturally, resulting in various manifestations: the appearance of gray hairs, loss of hair density due to changes in hair diameter, curvature, and quantity, as well as more pronounced hair loss due to alterations in the structural and functional properties of the follicle and hair shaft. These disorders can have endogenous causes (hormonal, genetic, nutritional) or exogenous causes (stress, environment, inappropriate care), and often impact the social and psychological well-being of those affected.

Androgenetic alopecia (GA), the most common form, is linked to hormonal hypersensitivity of the hair follicles, and its expression varies according to age, sex, and ethnicity. In men, it affects approximately 30% of individuals by age 30, 40% by age 40, and up to 80% by age 80. In Caucasian women, the figures are 3 to 12% by age 30, and 29 to 56% by age 70.

At the Renécia Clinic, we take a holistic approach to this issue, using a two-step strategy: first, slowing hair loss, then stimulating regrowth. Through innovative, non-surgical, and personalized protocols, we offer effective solutions tailored to each type of alopecia, whether hormonal, diffuse, or reactive. All our treatments are performed by hair experts: our dermatologists. Of course, we can also prescribe a trichoscopy if the cause of your hair loss is not clearly identified.

La dutasteride mesotherapy

For a long time, oral finasteride was the standard treatment for androgenetic alopecia. This medication works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone), the hormone primarily responsible for hormonal hair loss.
While often effective, it is also known for its side effects: decreased libido, mood disorders, fatigue… All these reasons have prompted doctors to explore other more targeted and better tolerated alternatives.

Recently, an alternative close to finasteride has appeared: dutasteride, now available for topical application, allows users to benefit from the positive effects of finasteride while limiting its systemic side effects.

Our solutions: stimulating hair regrowth after androgenetic alopecia

At Clinique Renécia, we offer several solutions to stimulate hair regrowth, particularly in cases of androgenetic alopecia. Our dermatologist will prescribe the most suitable treatment based on your individual situation. We offer solutions in various forms: mesotherapy using an injector gun, fractional laser treatment, and targeted intramuscular injections. For a comprehensive protocol, we generally recommend dutasteride to stop hair loss associated with androgenetic alopecia, combined with either exosomes, polynucleotides, or KeraLase™ to stimulate regrowth. If the results are insufficient, Biotin Bepanthene may be recommended to strengthen scalp health.
