What is hair mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive treatment used to stimulate hair growth and combat hair loss.
Mesotherapy involves injecting a cocktail of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients into the scalp using a gun (Mesoinjector). Superficial injections carried out in the scalp, with emphasis on bald areas, nourish and revitalize the cells, and thus promote hair growth.
At Renécia, we use the protocol AQ Skin Hair Complex+ and a mesotherapy session is always accompanied by an LED biostimulation session of around ten minutes, which promotes healing and maximizes the results of mesotherapy.

Areas treated by hair mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is used to treat the scalp. It helps stimulate hair growth and fight against hair loss.
It is a deep hydration solution that can also be used to treat the face, neck and décolleté.

Results of hair mesotherapy

Mesotherapy stimulates the scalp and hair bulbs to promote hair regrowth. Furthermore, the hair fiber thickens naturally and dandruff decreases. A real boost for the hydration and nutrition of hair bulbs, it is a method which also allows you to regain shine, volume, and calm irritated scalps.
Ultimately, you will obtain significant results with better quality and denser hair. However, as the hair cycle is long, you will have to wait three months before seeing the first results and notice significant regrowth.

Indications and contraindications to hair mesotherapy

Even if they are rare, there are contraindications to a mesotherapy session to combat hair loss. Among them, we will remember:

infectious or viral lesions of the scalp
allergies to one of the injected components

Hair mesotherapy technique

Better known in aesthetic medicine for firming the skin (mesolift), mesotherapy is also a classic for hair loss. Here, we are talking about a microinjection technique. Using a meso-injector gun, the practitioner injects a cocktail based on amino acids, antioxidants, minerals (zinc, copper) and vitamins directly into the scalp. Almost painless, if practiced correctly, the method helps to revive the atrophied vascularization of the hair follicle, while providing it with the nutrients it needs.

Mesotherapy is based on two active ingredients, which are:

Performing micro-abrasions (micro-scars), which stimulate the healing and regeneration process of the skin
The injection of vitamins into the surface of the skin, whose stimulating action accelerates hair growth

Unlike food supplements against hair loss, mesotherapy allows better absorption of vitamin active ingredients thanks to its direct injection into the area concerned. Thus, the quantity of product absorbed is much greater than through the digestive tract.

Course of a hair mesotherapy session

An initial aesthetic consultation is necessary before considering mesotherapy, during which the doctor will present the mesotherapy treatment protocol to you and will identify with you the areas to be treated and your objectives.

After this, you will have to respect a 24-hour reflection period, after which you can return to the clinic to carry out your session.

Before a mesotherapy session, you should limit the intake of aspirin or any medication that can thin the blood.
A mesotherapy session lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
At the start of your session, the practitioner begins by cleaning the area. He then prepares the meso-injector gun, with which he performs superficial micro-injections on the scalp to penetrate the vitamins under the skin. The session ends with an LED biostimulation session which accelerates healing and reinforces the effects of the injected products.
After your mesotherapy session, you will need to avoid shampooing for 24 hours to give your scalp time to absorb the elements necessary for its growth.
For a successful protocol we recommend 6 sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart.
Once this protocol has been completed, it will be necessary to schedule 2 to 3 maintenance sessions per year, depending on the results obtained.
